A large, detached building situated within its own landscaped grounds in Didsbury, Manchester, Jigsaw provides both Challenging and Move On facilities for a total of 37 adults with a primary diagnosis of mental illness. Patients may be detained under the Mental Health Act 1983, or may be informal.
The service has been developed to provide high quality therapeutic treatment for adult men and women with enduring mental illness and complex needs.
Based on a person-centred approach, we offer a range of treatments designed to meet individual needs within a disparate group of patients - whether for whom active rehabilitation will enhance their recovery to the extent that they can become more independent; those for whom a low-key approach may lead to more independent living; or those whose skills and quality of life can be improved even though they may remain in placement for life.
In all patient groups, the overall objective is to maximise the individual patient’s potential and abilities while at the same time ensuring that this is achieved within a safe and secure environment.
